Kim Kardashian Makeup Inspiration Gallery ♥

Hey ladies,
Just thought I'd post a few pictures of Kim Kardashian. Love her or hate her you can't deny that her makeup is always flawless, and I always feel very inspired when looking at her. I love the soft femininity of the nude lips and pink cheeks she usually wears.
Enjoy !

Recent Favorites + New Products ♥

Hey everyone I hope your all doing well and enjoying your summer's. It's a bit of a rainy day here in Southwestern Ontario and I thought I'd make a little post about a few new products as well as some favorites I've really been enjoying.

I recently bought the Revlon Lip Butter in Cupcake which has quickly become my go to lip color. It's so pretty and pink, and is quite buildable. My lip butter collection has grown to about 7 different shades now, and Cupcake is one of my top favorites. I got it from Wal-Mart for about $7.00 on sale, which isn't bad at all.

Since it is summer I've been enjoying a bit of self-tanner. Since I'd rather not look orange (cough *Jergens* cough) I use the self-tanner by Olay, which I find gives me a really natural bit of color, that isn't orange or patchy. It's about $8.00 from Wal-Mart.

I got the new Lumi foundation by L'oreal in the lightest shade, Porcelain/Light Ivory. The next shade up looked really orange so I stuck with the lighter shade. I haven't tried it yet but I like the idea of mixing it in with a more mattifying foundation for a bit of a healthier glow. Hopefully it works out well for me! If you've tried it leave a comment! Let me know what you think.

I've really been impressed by Garnier skincare products lately. I'm currently using both the Pure oil-control moisturizer as well as the Skin Renew SPF 28 even tone moisturizer and am loving them both. Haven't used the Skin Renew long enough to see results but I love the way it feels on my skin and how quickly it absorbs. They were both reasonably priced from Wal-Mart.

Last but not least I've been loving my Bourjois Chocolate bronzer as well my Benefit Powda Wowza set of blush and bronzer. They are all great products, well worth the money. Would definitely repurchase. Hoola by Benefit is a really great matte bronze, I would buy it on it's own for sure.

Thanks for stopping by, leave a comment if you'd like, I love reading them.

HG Moisturizer for Oily Skin/Summer ♥

Adriana-lima-20061106-176406_large

Hey everyone I hope your all doing well. I've been on the hunt for a good mattifying moisturizer for several weeks now and bought the Garnier Pure Shine Control moisturizer on a whim at Wal-Mart for about $14.00 Canadian a few days ago. Just a bit of background on my skintype, I'm quite oily in the t-zone, and normal on the cheeks, especially in the spring/summer when the t-zone just goes buck wild making up for lost time when it was hibernating in the winter, deviously planning its comeback.

Anyways, I love it.

Not only does it actually keep me relatively matte for several hours, but it wears very well under makeup and does not ball up and go all cakey and gross like the La Roche-Posay Effaclar M moisturizer did. That's amazing considering the Garnier version is half the price. When I wear this I don't have to powder as often as I do without it, which is great. I just generally find that my foundation holds up better and looks better throughout the day over this moisturizer.

If you've tried the Garnier 3-in-1 cleanser/mask/scrub that came out a couple years ago, this is exactly what it smells like. It's not an offensive scent, but it is quite strong. Your getting a decent amount of product, and a little bit goes a long way so I can see this lasting a while. The mattifying effect takes place directly upon application. For people like myself who are oily mainly in the t-zone you could use this on the t-zone, and a slightly more moisturizing product on the cheeks and neck if you'd like, it's personal preference really.

It does not contain SPF, which may be an issue for those who like SPF in their moisturizers, but I'm fine with it. It is oil-free, and claims to have zinc, salicylic acid, and natural clay in it, which help mattify and purify the skin.

The actual product comes out in a gel like consistency, has a blue tinged appearance, and spreads easily but dries quickly.

I'm pretty sure I covered everything but if you have any questions or comments just leave them below. Thanks so much.

Drugstore Haul + Mini Reviews (Revlon & Maybelline)

Hey everyone I hope your all doing well. I know it's been a while since I've posted on my blog but I'm back with a few things I got at the drugstore yesterday. These are things I've seen all over youtube and have been dying to try for sometime now. I got these from Shoppers Drug Mart and all the lip products were on sale so if your in Canada I would check out Shoppers asap!

I picked up two new Revlon Lip Butters in Gumdrop and Creme Brulee (for $7.99 each on sale). I've heard Creme Brulee described as a lovely nude option which I haven't yet tried out but which I have high hopes for. Gumdrop is a beautiful lavender shade, and I am obsessed with lavender lips and I think this will look lovely with a layer of Revlon's Lilac Pastel gloss on top. I also picked up a Revlon lipstick in Haute Berry (also $7.99 on sale), which I tried today and am absolutely in love with.I have green eyes and this lipstick really complimented them, as anything purple toned seems to do for me.

I also picked up two Maybelline products which have been really talked about, which are the undereye concealer in 120 Light ($13.99), which is a really gorgeous yellow toned concealer, as well as the tattoo eyeshadow in Bad to the Bronze ($12.99), which I tried today and would describe as more of a bronze with a taupe undertone to it. I also tried the concealer today and thought it was really blendable and creamy. I haven't tried to many products by Maybelline but I am so far impressed.

After twisting the top several tops the product appears through the top of the sponge applicator. Rather then applying it directly to my face I swipe the sponge over the top of my hand several times and then use a brush to apply the concealer and that's what works best for me. You can see it has a lovely, creamy consistency.

So that concludes my little haul, I hope you enjoyed it, I'm certainly enjoying the products, especially the Haute Berry lipstick, which I think is very elegant and luxurious (perhaps because of the name?) If you have any questions or comments just leave them below.
